10/03/10 - GSP: "I am the most confident I have ever been"
Georges St. Pierre will be seen warning Dan Hardy that he is the most confident he has ever been when UFC Primetime: St. Pierre vs. Hardy begins airing on Wednesday, March 10th at 10:00 PM ET/PT on Spike TV.
The premiere will be the first of a three-part documentary charting the build-up to the welterweight title fight, during which Hardy has commented that St. Pierre has mental weaknesses that will cost him the fight. Not so, says St. Pierre.
“I am the most confident guy I’ve ever been in my life, I got the knowledge, the experience of championship fights. I’ve got everything on my side. One round I can strike with him and try to knock him out. The other one I can try to put him down and submit him. He doesn’t know what I can do to him. I can do it all,” the champion says.
But Hardy is confident as always and says he is looking forward to proving the doubters wrong. “I know that I can give GSP hell when the times come. It’s so sweet stepping out into the Octagon on the other side saying, ‘I told you so.’ All these GSP fans that are betting the house on him, when they wake up Sunday morning…they aren’t going to be too impressed with themselves.”
The Primetime series will air weekly in the same timeslot. In the UK, the show will air on ESPN from this Saturday night. Episode 1 of Primetime airs Saturday night at 12:30am, with the second and third shows at the same time and day in the following weeks.
