08/02/10 - Little Nog v Forrest Griffin signed for UFC 114
Fighters Only has learned the match-up between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Forrest Griffin is "signed for late May," according to a source in one of the fighter's camps, with at least one of the participants having given written agreement to the meeting. That places the bout on the UFC 114 card, as has been rumoured.
Little Nog is now healed from a foot injury that thus far has prevented him from making a second fight for the UFC. The light-heavyweight fighter is in San Diego where he is helping out his twin brother Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for the upcoming fight at UFC 110 in Australia against Cain Velasquez to determine the number one contender of heavyweight division.
“I’m going to train exhaustively. I’m recovered from the foot injury and will get into the Octagon 100 per cent” Rogerio told us. “And my brother is well trained and focused. He has been working out with tough guys and will be at a high level in this fight. I’m certain he is going to win”.
The UFC 110 takes place at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia, on Feb 21 2010. Michael Bisping and Wanderlei Silva co-headline the event, followed by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez in the card-topping showdown.
