25/09/09 - Kimbo 'got arm-barred, came back with a gun'

Many of us have come across training partners that like to crank submissions on. So has Kimbo Slice, but he dealt with the issue in rather extreme fashion.

TUF 10 contestant Justin Wren was on TapouT Radio recently and talked about sharing the house with Slice. Wren said Slice had plenty of interesting stories for his housemates, including one where he felt aggrieved by a submission.

“He definitely talked about some crazy stuff,“ Wren told Crooklyn and her crew on the TapouT Radio show when asked if there had been talk in the house of interfering with Slice’s beard.

“I heard a story where he went down to ATT to train and he got arm-barred. Kimbo doesn’t like to tap so he didn’t tap and the guy hurt his arm so he came back in there with a gun!” Wren recounted. “Cops were called and everyone went nuts, so yeah we didn’t want to necessarily mess with Kimbo’s beard but there was definitely talk about it.

“He felt the guy was really trying to hurt him so he said if someone is going to really try and hurt me, in my career, that is how my make money for my family, so then he said he went and got a gun and was starting to come back in there and they stopped him at the door… that was straight out of his mouth.”

Slice and Wren can currently be seen as contestants on season ten of The Ultimate Fighter, which began airing this month. US viewers can catch the show on Spike TV every week and UK viewers can see it on FIVE USA, available on freeview.
