25/06/09 - "Bisping will out-wrestle Henderson", says Rampage's coach

Wolfslair wrestling coach Zach Light has made a bold prediction: he says Mike Bisping will out-wrestle Dan Henderson at UFC 100.

"He will take Dan Henderson down more than one time in the fight. He will, that's how he is going to win the fight. That is how I see it. When they start trading I think Mike will win the scrambles. Dan is a great scrambler but in a scramble situation I think Mike is going to come out on top every time," he tells Fighters Only.

Light, a former UFC competitor who went on to become Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's head MMA coach, joined forces with the Wolfslair shortly after Jackson did.

Jackson fought Henderson at UFC 75 in London and Light played a key part him for that fight, so Henderson is someone he has studied more than once.

"[Bisping] is fighting a guy that I have competed against, in the sense that Rampage fought him before," he explains. "What I have done is basically helped him complete his strategy for the fight. Wrestling-wise I am probably one of the best MMA-wrestling trainers in the world at the moment.

"I help Mike stop himself from over-training and keep him focussed on the task at hand. Right now he is in phenomenal shape. He is getting two, maybe two and a half days of rest a week at the moment and his wrestling is better than I have ever seen it. There is no doubt in my mind that he will end this fight before the third round."

Light worked with both Paul Kelly and Cheick Kongo for their UFC 99 fights. Kelly got a win while Kongo, who took his fight with Velasquez on a few weeks' notice, lost a decision.

After Bisping has fought Henderson, Light's next job will be to prepare Rampage for his fight with Rashad Evans when screening of The Ultimate Fighter season ten concludes.

Light says Evans "made a mistake picking that fight" at UFC 96 and "is going to have to pay for it" in the Octagon.

"Quinton doesn't usually get too made but that [face off] was the real deal," he reveals. "He was pissed off."
