20/02/09 - Kelly adds drama to UFC 95 weigh-ins (pictures)

All the fighters made weight at today’s UFC 95 weigh-ins, and the procedure would have passed off with no notable incident were it not for Wolfslair welterweight Paul Kelly getting right in Troy Mandaloniz’s face as they squared off.

In his recent interviews, Kelly has made no bones about wanting to put a fierce beating on the Hawaiian when they meet tomorrow.

And a war of words has steadily been brewing between the pair that took physical form for the first time today, when Kelly bumped his forehead into Mandaloniz and snarled at him from an inch away until UFC president Dana White separated them.

Dan Hardy, another Brit, took a leaf from Kelly’s book when it was his turn to face off with Rory Markham, pushing his face close to the Miletich fighter’s and shifting from foot to foot as he glared ominously.

Stevia-stud  Diego Sanchez was ecstatic when he made weight for his lightweight division debut, using his one-pound allowance to come in at 156lb.

The weigh-in weights were as follows:

Main Card Fights:
-Diego Sanchez (156) vs. Joe Stevenson (155)
-Dan Hardy (170) vs. Rory Markham (170)
-Chael Sonnen (185) vs. Demian Maia (184)
-Nathan Marquardt (185) vs. Wilson Gouveia (185)
-Josh Koscheck (170) vs. Paulo Thiago (169)
